I'm going to establish a journal for young activists to write about the issues they face and how they confront them.

4WRD! provides a publishing opportunity for creative activists to share work centered on social justice issues. I’m launching this business to spur growth in youth activism and innovation and to give young peoples’ ideas and voices a place to develop and find value. Being a performance poet, part of my education was learning how to publicly confront injustice with art. 4WRD! Magazine was inspired by a need to connect and mobilize young activists who aren’t afraid to propose creative solutions to issues we face—that’s social innovation.

4WRD!’s goal is to build a nationwide collective of youth activists, artists and scholars then transform them into publicly engaged intellectuals. This journal is invests energy into young people to give them a route to promote positive social change. What the publication can contribute is a training ground for the next generation of change-maker, one who creates information and knowledge accessible to and informed by the public. Our success will be measured by the commitment of the collective, the quality of our work and its reach.
